On a family vacation as a child, Diane visited a younger cousin who was living in a Youth Home due to his mother being a drug addict and alcoholic. Seeing that other children did not have loving parents and homes to grow up in as herself, this made an instant and huge impact on her heart. She knew from that moment on that she wanted to work in facilities just like the one she visited so that she could help others feel cared for.

She pursued this dream and worked in multiple youth homes starting out as a house parent when she was only 19 years old. She later realized that she could help even more people if she went to college to be a counselor. She knew that she wanted to continue to work with children who had been neglected or abused, were in the foster system, and who desperately needed someone to help show and teach them that they had value.

Diane then also began to have a heart for others who had a rough life in other ways. She desired to treat clients in jails and prisons. So when she started college, she first majored in Corrections and Substance Abuse Counseling. She also has a heart for individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum.

Diane has a very compassionate heart for others and with wanting to help them develop a positive self-worth despite any compromising circumstances.
