Thankful But Feeling Sad and All Alone?

I know that with Thanksgiving approaching that it can be a very sad and isolating time for many. It does not mean that you are not thankful for the blessings in your life. Just know that you can be thankful and sad/ depressed at the same time. People in your life may not understand and that is okay. Allow yourself to feel what you feel. Do what you need to do to get through the holiday. Know that it is normal for a lot of people to have a difficult time with the holidays approaching. Seek support, increase coping skills  and be easy on yourself. Also, know that God loves you with an ever lasting love and you are forever his child.

If you or someone you know is suicidal and needs immediate attention, call 911, go to your nearest hospital emergency room, or contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at:
800-273-TALK (8255) or Text: HOME to 741741.
