There is ALWAYS HOPE! Hold On!

The greatest hope in the Christian faith is that of eternal life. This hope is based on Jesus Christ and your relationship with Him.

Pray to God and tell him your fears and give him your anxiety. He loves you and cares for you.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.  Romans 15:13

Any Action Beats Intention
You can intend to do something all day long and for weeks, months, and years!

ACTION is needed for change.

Further, any action of a kind gesture for someone-  no matter how small- is a million times better than thinking about doing something to help someone else.

Do more than intend to do something-
for yourself and for others. ACT!

What You Will Allow- Will Continue
Are you upset because of the way that your life is going..a job? a relationship? a situation?

Do you stay where you are because you are afraid it will never get any better so you "settle"?

Most people stay in relationships/ jobs/ situations with the idea that people will change. While people can change, it is likely that the same type of behavior from a person will continue.

Thus, what you allow- will continue!

Ask yourself if you are living in denial and settling in a way because you will not be able to do better?

What would you like to change in your life and what can be the first step for that change?

Hold On Tight To Your Spirit For Life- Do Not Let Others Rob You Of Your Joy!

Do you allow others to rob you of enjoying life?

Do you allow others to steal your joy?

Do you allow others to suck the spirit and life out of you?

If so, ASK YOURSELF WHY?

Why do you let someone else do this to you? Why do you give them the power to do so?

Even if someone has rejected you or abused you, you do not need to allow them to steal your joy in life.

Do not let anyone or any situation rob you of living life with having a spirit of joy!

You have the choice to choose not to let another person or an unfortunate situation keep you down!

Choose life!
Choose forgiveness!
Choose JOY!

Understanding Social Anxiety & Help and Hope
Greetings! I am back from a break due to becoming a new grandmother!

Social anxiety is when an individual demonstrates shyness and being timid in social settings.

People who suffer with social anxiety are also extremely sensitive to criticism and feeling that they do not have approval from others.

They feel foolish if they do talk with others and they fear that they said the wrong thing.

Most people also do not have social connections outside of their immediate. family.

They also avoid social situations of any kind.

Further, individuals who suffer with social anxiety suffer with varying degrees of anxiety and panic attacks which include increased heart rate, dry moth, muscle tension, and feeling shaky.

There is help and hope for social anxiety.

First it is helpful to pinpoint as to the reasons in which someone has their social anxiety. Thus, it is important to find the 'root' of the issue.

A person's insight into their social anxiety is also important. You cannot heal what you do not acknowledge.

Self-talk needs to be challenged and modified.

Identifying defense mechanisms is also helpful as well as to gain insight into inner conflicts.

In counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness can be helpful.

If you or someone that you know has social anxiety, know that there is help and hope for healing.
