Self-Love is Not Selfish

Self-love is not selfish. A lot of us think that self love and self-care are selfish motives. However, these are not selfish at all. They are necessary! First of all, we have to take care of ourselves in order to function in our lives. Also, we have to take care of ourselves to be able to take care of others or do things that we need to do. Sometimes we feel guilty if we take time out for ourselves. I want to encourage you today to take time out for yourself. Tell yourself that it is not selfish but rather, required! Next, tell yourself that you deserve to be taken care of. Also, remember that we attract what we believe we deserve. How do you treat yourself demonstrates to others how you want to be treated. Furthermore, you can’t be in a healthy relationship loving others if you don’t first love yourself.

Allowing Children to be Creative

While testing is important, so is allowing a child to be creative! Let them express themselves in ways that best suit them. It is healthy for their mental and physical health!

Painting - A Self-Care Hobby

I have wanted to go to a structured paint lesson for several years. I finally made it to one last night. I was surprised to find that it felt extremely therapeutic and relaxing! I highly recommend it! What is something that you have thought of that would be relaxing and a healthy coping skill for you to do to relax?
