Keep it Simple
Keep it simple!

How can you do this?

Don't sweat the small stuff.

Let go of what you do not have control over.

Manage what you do have control over.

Try not to make things that are negative bigger than they really are.

Look on the sunny side of life.

Count your blessings.

Learn to appreciate the small things.

Hold on to what is important.

Be true to yourself.

Use coping skills when you get upset such as -take deep breaths and talk to yourself in a positive manner.

Gentleness
The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is a biblical term that sums up nine attributes of a Christian life according to Paul in his Letter to the Galatians "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Galatians 5:22-23.

Its takes a strong person to be gentle.

Be the bigger and stronger person and be gentle in your life with others
.........with your words and actions.

Your Past Does Not Define You
Our past does not define us.

Our mistakes do not define us.

We are not our failures.

We are not -what happened to us .........abuse/ neglect/ etc.

We are what we make of ourselves and we can learn and grow from any mistakes and hardships.

DO NOT LET ANYONE DULL YOUR SHINE OR MAKE YOU FEEL BAD ABOUT YOURSELF.

Remember--- no one can make you feel inferior without your permission!

Keep your head held high and do not let your past or any mistakes define you!

Turn Your Messes Into a Learning Experience and Message
Do you feel like you have made mistakes and that God cannot use you because of them ... or that you cannot succeed because of your past?

Each of us has made mistakes and it is easy to feel inadequate or unworthy or.... to just not have the mental stamina to think we could ever amount to something spectacular.

The truth is that we can actually do better than we ever could imagine because of our past experiences and mistakes!

Let trials be a teaching tool to learn from and then use them to be a better you to strive toward your passions!

Let your mess turn into a message and help others with what you have been through.

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead

Philippians 3:13

Mothers Day- A Difficult Day For Many
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers.

Mothers Day can be a very difficult day for many people. Whether or not an individual has a mom or a child or not, it can be a very sad and depressing day for most people.

I have grown children and grandchildren and I am thankful for them. I was raised by a very loving mother. I am blessed.

I also lost babies and my mother many years ago.

Just because someone has family, it does not minimize the hurt and pain from losses.

Whether or not you have a mother or a mother figure in your life, I know it can be a difficult day.

I know for me it was very hard for many years on Mother's Day after my mom died and when I lost 6 babies. I remember that I dreaded this holiday.

One year, I chose to focus on the positives in my life instead of my losses. I had other children and so I chose to really make the day about them instead of my grief.

I know that some people do not have children to focus on. You can focus on something else though and you can choose to focus on you and your life.

It is helpful to allow yourself to be sad and hurt or depressed though. Allow yourself to feel -and then choose to not let your hurt feelings consume you in a negative way.

I hope and pray that all of you who are reading this find joy instead grief no matter your situation and story. My heart goes out to you. I know your pain.

God knows your pain too. You can pray and give him your pain and sadness.

Psalms 9:9 The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
