Finding Hope In The Midst Of Fear
Finding Hope in the midst of fear------- how?

Is that possible?  Yes, of course!

Fear is not a totally negative thing!

Fear motivates us to do what we need to do -(that of which is in our control) to work on what we can to help us.

It also lets us know that something doesn't feel right---- again to choose to actively do something in a positive direction.

Psalm 16:9
“Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope.”

Hope means to me---- to look forward to the future with optimism.

Thus, you can choose to have hope and to be in that mindset- that things can get better. You can choose to focus on hope and to cover up your fear with that hope.

However- you first need to allow yourself to feel everything that you are feeling with your fear!

Psalm 119:114
“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.”

Give yourself permission to feel how you genuine feel with your personal situation.

It is helpful to sit and quietly think of your true feelings and emotions that is associated with your fear for a 15 minimum time period while taking slow deep breaths. It will help you feel better emotionally and physically.

Then, tell yourself that any negative emotional pain (and physical)- that you are experiencing can be covered completely in Faith, Hope and Love.

Focus positively on healing!

Have faith!

Choose to have Hope!

Pray and give your fears to the Lord as well!

Galatians 5:22-26 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Wow, almost 40% of our population will be diagnosed with cancer in their life.

I was in a small Single's Sunday school class for many years at my church and 5 out of 6 of my closest friends in the group have had cancer.

How does one live with hope while they are dealing with cancer?

I am thinking that someone living with cancer needs to demonstrate the same coping skills and self-care that they do on a daily basis for depression, anxiety and stress. One just needs to be firmly consistent with this self-care.

My favorite go to's for self- care are:
exercise
fresh air
slow deep breaths
walks
uplifting music
art
warm green tea
reaching out to friends
attending a support group
yoga
meditation
reading uplifting material
fresh juice and vegetables
juicing vegetables
healthy smoothies
laughter
natural supplements (under a dr's care)
drinking sufficient water all day in between meals
positive self-talk
being around like-minded and uplifting people
adequate sleep
journaling
Pursue your passions!!!!!
prayer

I believe that keeping a positive attitude and inner spirit is the best thing that you can do- as well as to reach out to others who care about you and others who are going through a similar journey.

Treasure Special Moments
Hello. I hope that you are having a good day.

I want to share my special moments over the weekend.

I went out of state to celebrate my Dad's 85th birthday!

My brothers traveled also so that we could celebrate together.

It was so very special! We laughed and talked about fun memories- while making new memories.

We never know how much longer that we have with loved ones- or even with our own lives.

I want to encourage you to treasure special moments in your life, how small they may be.

Little things often become big things.

Self- Judgement, Time To Reflect
Hello. Do you self judge?

Are you hard on yourself?

Ask yourself what ways that you are judgemental about yourself.

Do you feel that it is in a healthy way or in a critical and irrational way?

I want to encourage you to journal about your thoughts on self judgement. Then self reflect on what you wrote.

Use these writings to work on yourself and any unhealthy core values that you feel that focus on. Reflect on what you feel the root reasons are and how you can move forward in working through them in a positive manner.

Happy August!
Happy August! I like August because it reminds me that fall is around the corner.

It is also my dad's, a granddaughter's and my mother-n-law's birthdays. I enjoy reaching out to loved ones on their birthdays!

I am about to visit my father for his 85th birthday!

A gentle reminder that life is precious and time is valuable!

Make the most of today!
