Confidence- Tips For Improvement

The very first thing to do to become more confident is to stop comparing yourself to others!!!!!!

Next, do not base your self-worth on what others think of you!

You be YOU and be the best that you can be!

Embrace who YOU are and what makes you unique!

Learn that everyone has different talents, gifts, etc.

If a fish based his self-worth on if he could climb a tree........... he would feel worthless.

Let go of what you do not have control of and work on improving what you can control!

Rejection Is a Part of Pursuing Success - Live With No Excuses and No Regrets!
Whether it is pursuing relationships or a dream job- rejection is a necessary part of the process to succeeding.

Someone once told me that you need to be able to expect 1,000 no's before you reach your dream of success at something.

Regarding others, if someone else does not see your value....it does not decrease your worth.

On pursuing goals, dreams, and passions- the greatness weakness is in giving up.

Sometimes- rejection is God's protection.

Live with no excuses and no regrets!

Learn When It Is Needed- To Let Things Go
We hold on to things, ideas, people, pain, and more  longer than we should some times.

There are times to hold on and then there are times to let go.

We usually know in our heart of hearts-- our 'gut instant' when we need to let go of  something or someone in our life.

Sometimes it may be a needed boundary line.

Sometimes it may need to be a total cut.

Deep down you know.

Are you fighting letting go in an area of your life?

Ask yourself WHY? What are you gaining? What are you afraid of?

Counseling can help you to process this.

Learn when it is best to let go - and move on.

You cannot turn the page of life in your book if you stay on the same page and keep re-reading it over and over and over.

Know Your Worth- And Keep It That Way
People can hurt our feelings but they cannot change our worth.

If someone does not see your wroth, it does not decrease your value.

No one and I mean no one can make you feel unworthy if you chose not to allow it!

Respect yourself. Love yourself. When you do this, others will see it. They will respect you more.

If they do not act as if they respect you, then that is their issue and not yours. Love and respect yourself and be your authentic self.

Hold your head up high and SHINE ON!

You know what your character traits are and you know what makes you valuable. Do not let anyone change your thinking about yourself!

Let Go of Negative Strongholds- of What Others Have Inflicted on You
Are there negative concepts in your life that you hold on to tight?

Do you chose to believe something that someone told you about yourself that was negative?

Lets say that someone in your life told you that you would not amount to anything.

This person many have been out of your life now for many years or even have passed away--- however- you still hold on to what they told you!!

You go around in life thinking to yourself, "I am a nobody, _______ told me so".

Can you relate to something similar to that?

Are you holding on to a negative concept about yourself because of a another person?

It could be something that someone told you or it could have been because of abuse toward you that is the reason that you think negatively of yourself.

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE, WORDS, OR EXPERIENCES HOLD YOU BACK FROM BEING THE PERSON THAT YOU CAN BE-- OR FROM YOU ENJOYING YOUR LIFE!

Do not give them this power.

Lear how to forgive them and get into counseling to learn how to move past the past of negative influences.

Ways To Redirect Your Child / Help Them To Calm Down
Here are some helpful tips to help redirect your child when they are beginning to act out or when they are angry.

You can read to them.

You can have them engage in an art project.

You can take them outside and have them calm down by getting fresh air and sunshine.

You can take them into your arms and just hold them.

You can teach your child breathing exercises.

You can have them draw how they are feeling.

You can have them pick out an animal to imitate.

You can play calming music for them.

You can play a game with them.

You can play tag with them.

You can roll a ball back and forth with them.

You can have them make up a story to tell you using their imagination.

You can have them engage in light exercise such as dancing.

You can blow bubbles for them.

You can build blocks with them.

You can make cookies out of play dough with them.

You can just grab them and lay on the floor and giggle with them.

You can give them a hug and tell them that everything will be okay and then tell them that hugs help....and have them hug their favorite toy.

There is ALWAYS HOPE! Hold On!

The greatest hope in the Christian faith is that of eternal life. This hope is based on Jesus Christ and your relationship with Him.

Pray to God and tell him your fears and give him your anxiety. He loves you and cares for you.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hopeRomans 15:13
