Before You Can Heal- You have To Allow Yourself To Feel
In order to heal from emotional pain, you have to first allow yourself to feel the pain.

You have to acknowledge it.

You have to identify it.

You have to get it out instead of stuffing it away.

You have to seek to understand and identify the root (reasons and triggers) behind the pain.

The only way to get past something is to work THROUGH it.

Postpartum Depression- There is Hope and Help

Many new moms experience the "postpartum baby blues" after childbirth, which can include mood swings, crying spells, anxiety, as well as problems with sleep.

Baby blues usually begin within the first two to three days after delivery and can last for up to two weeks.
However, some new moms experience more of a severe, long-lasting form of depression known as postpartum depression.

On extreme rare cases, a mood disorder called postpartum psychosis may also develop after childbirth.
Postpartum depression isn't a character flaw or a weakness.

Some symptoms of Postpartum Depression are:

Depressed mood or severe mood swings

Excessive crying

Difficulty bonding with your baby

Withdrawing from family and friends

Loss of appetite or eating much more than usual

Inability to sleep (insomnia) or sleeping too much

Overwhelming fatigue or loss of energy

Reduced interest and pleasure in activities you used to enjoy

Intense irritability and anger

Fear that you're not a good mother

Feelings of worthlessness, shame, guilt or inadequacy

Diminished ability to think clearly,
concentrate or make decisions

Severe anxiety and panic attacks

Thoughts of harming yourself or your baby

Recurrent thoughts of death or suicide

 When to see a doctor:

If you're feeling depressed after your baby's birth, you may be reluctant or embarrassed to admit it. But if you experience any symptoms of postpartum baby blues or postpartum depression, call your doctor and schedule an appointment. If you have symptoms that suggest you may have postpartum psychosis, get help immediately.

It's important to call your doctor as soon as possible if the signs and symptoms of depression have any of these features:

Don't fade after two weeks

Things are getting worse

Make it hard for you to care for your baby

Make it hard to complete everyday tasks

Thoughts of harming yourself or your baby

Enjoy Your New Beginning! Move Forward!
Many of my clients tell me that they cannot go on because of their past.

They say that they cannot forgive themselves and that God cannot forgive them for what they have done as well.

OR.......... they tell me that they cannot move past something that has been done to them.

God makes testimonies out of tests and miracles out of mistakes.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Repent any mistakes to God and enjoy your new beginning.

Also, when you have accepted Christ in your heart as your Lord and Savior, you then have the mind of Christ. You are capable of letting go of past abuse and mistakes and moving ahead in faith and
healing!

Move forward and look forward!

Help Someone Who is Suicidal- Reach Out And Talk To Them
A suicidal person may not ask for help, but that doesn't mean that help isn't wanted.

People who take their lives don't want to die. They just want to stop hurting.

Suicide prevention starts with recognizing the warning signs and then with taking them seriously.

If you think a friend or family member is considering suicide, you might be afraid to bring up the subject.

However, talking openly about suicidal thoughts and feelings can save a life!

Talk to them. Ask questions. Direct them to seek counseling.

If you are suicidal- know that there is help and hope.
